CULTURE AND KITCHEN: AN ONLINE COLLECTION

My name is Edie Greenberg, and I am a senior at Presentation Academy, an all girls school in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. I am currently in Senior Independent Project Class (SIP), a relatively new pass/fail course that takes place 3rd and 4th periods of every day. The students selected for SIP explore and complete a project idea that they have submitted a proposal for, that will either take one semester or the whole year to complete. SIP this year consists of 10 lovely ladies (including myself) and we are all working on very different and exciting projects. My project is to create a physical cookbook, and a virtual cookbook and whole website based on culture and cuisine. As a part of my website and cookbook, I am interviewing world renowned chefs located in Louisville, KY and researching how cuisines around the world link up with different cultures and collecting interviews from the chefs. I am also creating dishes from these many cuisines.
